Xingjian Gao

Hi, I'm Xingjian Gao, a PhD student from the Industrial Engineering & Operations Research (IEOR) Department at University of California, Berkeley. I majored in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics during my undergraduate study, and continued as a 5th-Year Master student in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences (EECS) at UC Berkeley. I'm from Changzhou, China.

Research

I'm currently working with Prof. Xin Guo on alpha-potential game theory and applications on N-player non-cooperative trajectory planning, and with Dr. Scott Lee on understanding Medicare provider's billing behavior using AI tools. I was also a student researcher in Berkeley Artificial Intelligence Research Lab (BAIR) advised by Prof. Yi Ma and in FHL Vive Center for Enhanced Reality's OpenARK Project advised by Dr. Allen Yang. I worked closely with Xili Dai from Prof. Heung-Yeung Shum's lab in HKUST(GZ). My research interest also lies in using AI to understand visual perception in primates and worked with Prof. Doris Tsao on interpreting neural data with generative models.
